We're a small FC with a handful of members, looking for people that are interested in a growing community here on Jenova. LGBTQ+ friendly, small home in Mist, constant FC buffs, and sprout friendly!

About

Aria of Sorrow was formed on November 14th, 2021 on the Jenova server of the Aether data center.Originally started as a "friends FC", nothing more than a group chat that gave access to buffs and housing, it was never really intended to be open to the public. The few of us that were there eventually went on to find real Free Companies, and this FC was left standing on an alt. A few of us ended up in the same FC and had a rather negative experience with toxic leadership and a pretty inactive membership. We then decided to rejoin our old "friends FC" to start it anew, and this time make it a true Free Company open to the public for recruitment.Trans led and LGBTQ+ friendly, we strive to be a home for other members of the LGBTQ+ community to come and find fellowship with one another, though this is not our main focus.

Rules

FC Code of Conduct
1. No harassment of any kind. This means for any reason. We will not stand for homophobia, transphobia, racism, bullying or discrimination of any kind. That being said, we understand the world is always changing so while not everyone may know every little detail, the important thing is if someone tells you that makes you uncomfortable you stop.2. Release personal information at your discretion only. Be safe with your information, as while we are all friends here, it is still there internet and you must use common sense. You must never share anyone else's information without their permission.3. Communication is key! If you have any problem with someone in the game or in the Discord server, or have a general issue with the Free Company, please come to an officer that you feel safe talking to. We take this very seriously and want everyone to be comfortable!4. All game spoilers need to stay within their respective channels. Any huge spoilers further need to be marked with spoilers just in case people aren’t to that part yet in the story! We don’t want to ruin the fun for anyone who hasn’t caught up.5. Above all, be kind and be respectful! We want to maintain an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe, and expect our members to want the same.

Company Chest
1. Withdraw in moderation. Chest access beyond tab 1 is restricted for non-officers. Supplies available to members in tabs 2 & 3 can be requested from the Quartermaster in the appropriate Discord channel.
2. Tabs 4 & 5 are officer only tabs. These slots are reserved for gardening supplies (tab 4) and company workshop supplies (tab 5).
3. Do not store personal items or use the chest as a trash can. Anything you place in the company chest is at risk of being removed by another member, and is assumed to have been donated to the Free Company. We are not responsible for anything lost that is placed into the FC chest.
4. Gil donations will only be used for FC expenses or event prizes. We greatly appreciate any member who is willing to contribute to the funds of the Free Company. This goes towards expenses such as workshop and gardening supplies, supplies available to members, and event prizes.

Officer Responsibilities

Shared Officer Tasks:
- Maintaining a peaceful & respectful atmosphere & dealing with any disruption / conflict
- Searching for approved new members in game & inviting them onboard
- Re-activating FC buffs & purchasing new ones
- Checking for new "in-game applications" & reaching out to potential new members for discussion
- Answering member queries generally (Discord and in game)
- Keeping Discord channels organized
- Approving new members (Discord and in game)
- Contributing in discussions & helping to resolve issues
- Organizing events for membership to participate in
- Making and updating recruitment posts in various Discord servers and Reddit
- Making shout runs throughout the major cities and Gold Saucer
- Engaging with the community by speaking with people found without an FC
- Maintaining the community finder pageQuartermaster Tasks:
- Issuing items to members from restricted chest slots and logging it
- Maintain FC funds and keep supplies stocked
- Keeping junk/trash out of the company chest
- Organization of FC Chest Tabs 1-3Gardener Tasks:
- Planting new FC plants and keeping them watered
- Feeding chocobos in stables & reminding members when they are due to level
- Organization of FC Chest Tab 4Navigator Tasks:
- Maintaining Airship/Submersible/Housing/Aetherial Wheel projects
- Maintaining Airship/Submersible voyages
- Organization of FC Chest Tab 5If any of these roles are unfilled, they become shared officer tasks until such role is filled as dictated by need (i.e. membership numbers).
